New Haven Municipal Marketing

The Writing Company applied its expertise as promoters of places when City of New Haven, Connecticut, sought to launch a comprehensive public relations campaign promoting the city's virtues as a place to do businesses. Retained as part of a public relations team leading this campaign, The Writing Company's work was focused on producing the communications vehicles needed to transmit the campaign's promotional messages. We also developed a campaign theme, "The New Haven for the New Economy," emphasizing the city's status as a growing center for biotechnology firms.

The most extensive of these efforts entailed content development, design and construction of a comprehensive economic development web site. The site detailed the city's high quality business environment, economic development programs and quality of life.

The Writing Company also produced a newsletter and provided creative support for the city's promotional program by creating print advertisements and creating a trade show exhibit. The exhibit, for which we provided original art and hardware, headlined both the "New Haven for the New Economy" theme as well as the city's status as "Creative Capital of Connecticut," a designation earned by New Haven's extensive list of arts, culture and entertainment institutions.
