The Writing Company was retained by the Essex County Economic Development Corporation to assist in marketing the county's economic development initiative aimed at growing its travel and hospitality sectors.

The Writing Company researched and prepared an inventory of the county's unique travel assets and packaged this material in several ways under the tagline we developed, "It's a Beautiful Day to Experience Essex." Our firm developed print collateral, a pocket guide to Essex County attractions in the areas of art, performance, museums, nature, sports, the college scene, history and shopping/dining. The brochure also featured promotional material on the county's superior business climate.

Another promotional product came in the form of a dramatic standalone trade show exhibit bearing the "It's a Beautiful Day" slogan and images of various county attractions. The exhibit also included space for a continuous-loop video program to attract trade show passers-by. Using stills and footage we acquired during a one-day shoot, The Writing Company created a fast-moving video touting the county's diverse array of things to do and places to visit.

In a followup effort, The Writing Company continued to support the county's visitor promotion program with a summer/fall calendar of events for Essex facilities.
